February 13, 2024`

Tue, Feb 13, 2024

YES!! I"m back in the entertaining mode and booking gigs! I booked 3 at one of my favorite venues today. The Twisted District! Ed has always been great to me. I showed up at the bar and he came over to talk to me....not recognizing me at first...as I haven't done a Boise gig in about a 1 1/2. Back surgery....2 knee replacements...complications. Just didn't feel like getting out there....and NOW...I'm ready for some music fun. Thanks to everyone that has been checking in over the last year and a half...asking me if I'm playing somewhere....when will I be back...and offering all kinds of support. I appreciate you all more than you know. Thanks! Meanwhile...so far...my first gig will be March 30th (another may come sooner...I'll let you know), so I have plenty of time to get my stuff together...polish up a bit and get ready for some fun. I hope to see all of my Boise friends..."Out and about". Take care.

Haven't kept up the web site in some time now. Like everyone else....have had a few setbacks so haven't been entertaining much...but starting to feel like starting up again. I'll be posting soon! Thanks!!

Harvest in ND

Sun, Sep 30, 2012

I've been in ND now...just about 60 days....great time....hard work....rewarding experiences. The Wakefield farm is doing well. I should get the word anyday now that I can go home...and of course...I'm looking forward to the word. Life is good!

2012

Thu, Feb 16, 2012

Here's hoping that 2012 will be the best year yet for all of us! Here we are almost to the middle of February which is about the last cold month in Boise. Geese are usually on the nests in March...so Spring is coming soon. Jan and I recently bought a little mini Toyota Motorhome, and have been having fun putzing around with it. She's recently installed new carpet and vinyl, and we've done some other fixits. It's in great shape..about 60,000 miles and runs like top. I'll start using it for some gigs soon...and it'll be nice to be driving my office/kitchen and bedroom down the road with me. Closets loaded...food in the frig..coffee pot...laptop...my own bed...etc! Lot's to be thankful for.

First Entry of 2011

Tue, May 17, 2011

Spring has sprung, and of course Boise is about as pretty as it gets this time of year. Lot's of music dates coming up, and the Real Estate Market is picking up as well. That's good news for everyone. We have 2 houses under contract as of last week, and hope to have a great year! This week I'm doing the opener for the Whitetail Club up in McCall, Idaho. Steve Eaton is also on the bill, and it should be a great time, and not only is he a great friend, but a great musician / entertainer. We'll switch back and forth from our individual routines and will also do some songs together. I'm excited!

Leaving Havasu and back to Boise!

Mon, Feb 15, 2010

I've had some fun in the sun and some great times here in Lake Havasu. Last week I played 3 music jobs, and this week did another 5. The trip down was a great working vacation, and I've built a nice working relationship with several clubs. Will be playing Flatbread Community Oven on Wednesday the 17th and I'm anxious to get on the road this morning and get a move on. My friend Roger Farbo from Boise rode down with me and will be with me on the way back, and he's a great travel companion, story teller and jokester. Should be a good trip!

Lake Havasu

Tue, Jan 19, 2010

I'm getting ready to go to Lake Havasu for a couple of weeks in February. One of my friends, Marty MacNeil, who has been entertaining in that area for some years now, has graciously given me a start with some recommendations and contacts. I have several ND friends that already live in Havasu and I spent some time with my buddy Bill there last winter..so this should be a fun little trip and I'm sure it will turn into a nice working relationship. See you there!

New Years Eve Party

Fri, Jan 1, 2010

The New Year's Eve party at Corkscrews in Meridian went really well. The place was already full when I showed up and I still eased into the party by playing a subdued 1st set. After my 1st break, however, I asked who would like to be the 1st dancers and immediately the dance floor had several people on it and the party began. Thanks to all of you that made it out, and Happy New Year to all. I started off the New Year by attending a church service this morning, and once again, may 2010 be the best year yet for all of us!

Happy New Year To Everyone!

Thu, Dec 31, 2009

Here's wishing you all a safe and Happy New Year! The snow is coming down hard in Boise as I write this and it's going to be a beautiful New Year's Eve, however, that will present some problems of it's own. Everyone drive safe, have lot's of fun and may 2010 be the best year yet for all of us!! Take care!
